Lana is a licensed veterinary technician. She has been licensed since 1995 and has worked at VCA Parkway since 1999. Lana grew up in the farm country near Walla Walla, and remembers being very young and trying to help the veterinarian who would come tend to her family's horses. She would always have to be moved out of the way for her own safety! She even remembers having elaborate dreams of helping veterinarians and “doctoring” animals so that they would feel better. She feels it was only natural to become a veterinary technician. Lana loves seeing animals go home feeling better after being sick and teaching owners how to care for their pets after an illness. She feels that pets (large and small) enrich our lives and give us so much happiness that we should return the favor by giving them the best care so they can live long, happy, pain-free lives.
In her free time, Lana likes reading, mostly mysteries and thrillers. She and her husband also enjoy riding motorcycles together, and they try to take one long trip a year. To her, there is nothing better than seeing our beautiful and wonderful country on a motorcycle!
Lana and her husband and have one dog, Enzo the Labrador retriever, and four cats, Gonzo, Swizzle, Twizzle and Blitz, one of which was born blind and “handi-capable”.
