I am a native of Grand Rapids, MI and 2003 graduate of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After spending time working as a small animal veterinarian in Ohio, North Carolina, and Missouri, I am excited to be back in my hometown.

As a veterinarian, I enjoy all aspects of small animal general practice but have special interests in exotic pets and animal behavior. I joined the VCA Northeast Cat and Dog Hospital team as medical director in March 2016. I am looking forward to providing your furry (and reptilian!) family members with the high-quality of care that all of our pets deserve.

When not working as a veterinarian, I enjoy spending time with family (especially my 2 young children!), traveling, music, canine sports (agility and rally obedience), and crafty projects. I currently have 6 furry members in my family (1 dog, 3 cats, and 2 rabbits) but my past pets have also included rats, a hedgehog, a bird, a chinchilla and fish.
