Dr. Carter joined our practice in March of 2023. Dr. Carter was born and raised in Maine (just next to Portland). She received her Bachelor's of Science at Northeastern University in Boston studying health sciences. After completing her undergraduate studies, she attended St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies, for Veterinary school. Her clinical training was completed at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in Virginia.
Dr. Carter especially enjoys advocating for pets and being their voice! The puppies and kittens are an added perk of the profession. Dr. Carter is Fear Free certified (FFCP/FFSP) and her special interests include end of life care, preventive medicine, oncology, and felines.
Dr. Carter currently lives in Quincy. She has a calico cat named Tuppence, whom she adopted while volunteering in a shelter. Tuppence currently resides in Maine with her Grandparents while Dr. Carter gets settled in the Boston area.
When she's not at work, Dr. Carter enjoys figure skating, exploring Boston, reading, and spending as much time at the ocean as possible (swimming and fishing).
