Medical Director
DVM
Dr. Meghan Jaskot grew up in Milltown, a small town in central New Jersey. Her whole family shared a love for animals and allowed her to collect an assortment of pets. She always knew she wanted to work with animals and as she got older, nothing made her happier than caring for animals and learning how to keep them healthy. Through this passion for animals, she came to love working with and helping people, too.
She has a special interest in dentistry, internal medicine, and preventive medicine. Dr. Jaskot joined VCA Newark Animal Hospital in July of 2020, after working at a veterinary hospital in Temecula, California, from May of 2019 through May of 2021. Before that she spent 12 years at VCA Toms River Animal Hospital, in Toms River, New Jersey. She graduated from veterinary school in 2007 from The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine and completed her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University, Cook College.
When Dr. Jaskot is not taking care of her patients, she can be found spending time in nature, cycling, gardening, or traveling. She has three fur baby dogs (a 12-year-old mixed breed named Tossa, a 1-year-old Lab Doberman mix named Pavé, and a 6-month-old hound mix named Valley).
