Emily has had a lifelong interest in animals. From a young age, she aspired to work in veterinary medicine. She is especially passionate about helping pets with special needs, both physically and behaviorally.
Emily's journey began when she became a volunteer puppy raiser for the Guiding Eyes for the Blind. She then became a dog trainer for a pet supply company where she was able to help many clients understand and train their pets more effectively.
She went on to study the veterinary assistant program with Penn Foster College and did her clinical externship while working as a professional dog trainer in Mystic, CT.
In her free time, Emily volunteers with special needs dogs at a local animal rescue. She has rescued two dogs: a six-year-old mixed breed named, Naina, and a three-year-old Australian shepherd named Pagal, who was blind from birth. She also has a bearded dragon named Toothless, and a ball python named Kela.
