Angelo currently is in Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University, studying biomedical engineering due to an interest in creating animal prosthetics and innovating how people view canine behavior. After acquiring a certification (CBCC-KA®) in canine behavior consultation from the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers, he works as the behavior technician of Dr. Moffat and Dr. Gerrish. Prior to working at VCA Mesa Animal Hospital, Angelo was an Barrett-affiliated intern at the Arizona Humane Society as an animal behavior specialist Intern and now helps as a behavior volunteer some weekends.
Angelo lives with two dogs (Lucy, Maltese mix; Lily, miniature poodle) and one cat (Edo, tuxedo). As for the dog depicted here, Honey Bear is one of our behavior technician's lovely cooperative care patients after having a behavior modification session with him. His priority is making sure each client leaves with a sense of knowledge that allows them to understand their pets behaviors, how to manage them, and be empowered to apply what has been learned during each session to help their pet live their best and happiest life with their family.
