April has worked in the veterinary field for over 20 years, joining VCA McClave in February of 2020.
Having loved and learned from so many of her own pets over the years, she believes that our companion animals provide unconditional love, as well as lessons in humility, responsibility and compassion for the humans that love them. Unable to imagine a career that didn't include animals, April feels very lucky to be able to witness the bond between pets and their people, working at VCA McClave.
When not working, April spends her time at home with her husband, kids and furry family, which include a deceptively cute (but admittedly ill tempered) maltipoo, a couch potato pittie, a pleasantly senile chiweenie, three popcorning guinea pigs, an orange tabby with markedly slow metabolism and the sweetest of Russian blues, who has no eyes but is king of the castle, and whose only request is that the furniture not be moved.
