Dr. Gabriella Hamilton, a Wisconsin native affectionately known as "Snow White" by family and friends for her constant connection with animals, earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin River Falls and her DVM from Iowa State University. She moved to Orange County to embrace the West Coast lifestyle and deepen her knowledge of exotic animal medicine, working in exotics/small animal practice before joining the emergency department at VCA Lakewood.

Dr. Hamilton has a special interest in emergency medicine, surgery, exotic/wildlife medicine, hospice care, shelter medicine, and client education. She is a certified Fear Free veterinarian, accredited USDA Category 2 veterinarian, and is pursuing acupuncture certification. With experience as both a pet owner and a veterinarian, she brings a unique perspective to her practice, offering practical advice rooted in personal experience.

In the future, she hopes to specialize in avian or reptile medicine and perform advanced surgical techniques. Her goal is to become a versatile "jack of all trades" veterinarian who always finds a way to help pets while knowing when to refer for specialized care. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, exploring new coffee shops, and spending time with her animals: Faline (greyhound), three cats (Piper, Curtis, and Noodle), Nancy (Herman's tortoise), and Tequila (African grey parrot).
