Medical Director, Keith Sultemeier says that he has "the privilege of practicing in a career doing what I like most in life." His love of animals, people, science, medical biology and helping people and animals has made the last 25 years exciting, fulfilling and fun for him.
Dr. Sultemeier was raised in Fort Stockton, Texas, and has been working at VCA Lakeside Animal Hospital since 1986. He received a bachelor of science in biochemistry in 1982 and his veterinary medicine degree in 1985 from Texas A&M University. Dr. Sultemeier is especially interested in surgery, endoscopy, ultrasonography and cytology.
When he's not working, Dr. Sultemeier loves spending time with wife Lori and his three children, Nathan, Hannah and Benjamin. He also enjoys the company of his two cats Rutie and Naomi, and his three dogs, Ranger, Mollie and Maverick. Dr. Sultemeier's other interests include reading, hiking, biking and gardening. Dr. Sultemeier is also a Bible Study Fellowship leader, a World Missions Far Corners board member, and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and Tarrant County Veterinary Medical Association.
