Dr. Kyle grew up in Kansas and even as a child, visiting her grandparents farm and the many animals was always one of her favorite activities. After completing her degree in biology at Kansas State University, Dr. Kyle moved to Houston to study cell biology. After deciding that lab research was not for her she stayed in Houston but began working at a VCA Animal Hospital first as a receptionist then as a technician. Having established Texas residency she had the privilege of attending veterinary school at Texas A&M University and graduated in 2001. She started at VCA Lake Jackson just a few weeks later and is now thrilled to be the medical director. Dr. Kyle has particular interests in animal behavior and training, shelter medicine, cytology, and nutrition.
In addition to enjoying Lake Jackson as a wonderful location to live and work, she also met and married her husband Kevin here (a Clute native). Their 4-legged family member include 2 Italian Greyhounds, 2 elderly Ibizan Hounds and 1 cat who feels completely outnumbered. They are actively involved with the local SPCA as well as numerous purebred rescue groups and often have extra foster dogs living with them. When she's not working Dr. Kyle enjoys training and competing with her dogs in various events, traveling (particularly visiting her family back in Kansas), cooking, watching football, and reading.
