Dr. Arculus received her BS degree in Animal Bioscience at Pennsylvania State University before attending The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine to earn her DVM.  She joined the General Practice team at VCA Newark Animal Hospital where she practiced from 2002 until 2020 when she joined the VCA Kirkwood team.  Dr. Arculus has 1 dog (Triscuit) and 2 cats (Titch and A-Ci) at home.  When Dr. Arculus is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband on the Chesapeake Bay.

Why I Do What I Do...
"Like many veterinarians, I knew at very young age that I was going to be a veterinarian. It wasn't until I started as a technician at VCA Newark in 1990 that I truly began to understand what veterinary medicine was all about. It is being an advocate for the pet, an educator, a friend, a confidant for the pet's parents, and a positive role model for the community."
