Sun, sea, and sand - the three pillars of Dr. Nightingale’s childhood. Being born into an island paradise has its definite perks - but a vet school isn’t one of them. So he hopped from island paradise to island tundra, where he was accepted to the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI. There Dr. Nightingale honed his skills and developed an interest in general practice, production medicine, diagnostic imagery, behaviour, and soft tissue surgery.

After graduation in 2018, Dr. Nightingale packed up with his border collie Posie, and they moseyed on over to Ottawa. Since then he’s worked in dairy production, in small animal emergency, and in general practice. Added to that, he added another border collie, Forrest, to the pack.

Outside of work he can be found watching and playing football (read: “soccer” as it’s called here), exploring trails and fields around Ottawa, cooking Caribbean-influenced foods, reading books with a pot of tea, boogieing to some smooth tunes, or throwing a ball with his dogs until they’re tired, or until his arm falls off - whichever happens first.
