Kendra was born in Indiana and moved to Michigan after high school, when she was recruited to play basketball and softball for Adrian College. After earning an Associate degree in Applied Science, she joined the staff at VCA VSECK in 2015 as a veterinary assistant. She was among the 20% of applicants who were awarded what was, at that time, a highly competitive full tuition scholarship for veterinary technician school. After several years of full time school and work, she earned her second Associate degree in Veterinary Technology. In early 2021, she passed the VTNE national exam and officially became a licensed veterinary technician (LVT). Kendra enjoys procedures such as central line placement, epidural analgesia administration, enteral feeding tube placement, and assisting with emergency surgical procedures.
In her free time, she has a passion for competitive softball, sky diving, scuba diving, traveling, and spending quality time with her wife, kids, two dogs, and cat. She is considered "expert level" at making bad puns.
