Amy was born and raised in mid-Michigan and has always loved working with animals. She attended Michigan State University's veterinary technician program and graduated from the program in 2005 earning her license in veterinary technology. In the years since then her career has taken her to multiple states working in a number of clinics where she has been able to develop and perfect her medical skills and gain experience in various area of veterinary medicine including anesthesiology, surgery, oncology, internal medicine and emergency and critical care. After practicing in the veterinary field for several years, Amy decided to specialize in emergency and critical care and in 2018 she earned her certification as a veterinary technician specialist in emergency and critical care.
Her career path has now gone full circle, bringing her back to her home state. Amy is excited to be a member of VCA Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center of Kalamazoo's team and welcomes the opportunities and challenges that lay ahead.
