Dr. Aruna obtained his veterinary degree from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka. Upon graduation, he served in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the same University. In 2015, he moved to Canada with his family and worked in Alberta briefly before moved to Ontario. He followed postgraduate education in the Royal Veterinary College, University of London and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Calgary.

Dr. Aruna is interested in infectious diseases and soft tissue surgery.
