Dr. Veronica E. Martin grew up in Jacksonville, FL, before relocating to the Pacific Northwest. She’s been working in veterinary hospitals since 1995 starting as a kennel attendant then moving into an assistant position. After high school, she attended the veterinary technology program at Pierce College in Lakewood, WA, and became a licensed veterinary technician. She worked in the veterinary field for many more years in general practice, emergency, and specialty hospitals before deciding to go back to school to earn her doctorate. She attended St. Martin’s University in Lacey, WA, where she received her Bachelor of Science as a biology major. She then moved to Ohio to attend The Ohio State University where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Great Lakes Veterinary Specialists where she continues to practice emergency medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Martin enjoys riding motorcycles, traveling, gardening, and cooking.
