Dr. Sarah Au Yeung grew up in Columbia, Maryland, around horses and felt the strength of the human-animal bond at a young age. She preferred to spend more time with animals than with people and this is where her dream of becoming a veterinarian was born.
Dr. Au Yeung initially went to undergrad at the University of Tennessee with the dream of becoming an equine vet, however during her journey she found a passion for small animal medicine. She loves both cats and dogs and during vet school, she devoted time researching and publishing a paper on feline chronic enteropathy and was an officer for the student run neonatal kitten shelter, Orphan Kitten Project.
Dr. Au Yeung graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2023 and came back to the east coast to put what she learned into practice at VCA Delmarva. She is excited for this next chapter of helping animals and starting a career of lifelong learning. Dr. Au Yeung's interest within veterinary medicine include preventative care, internal medicine, dermatology, and neurology.
Outside of work, Dr. Au Yeung likes to spend time with her fiancé, tripod pit bull, and two kitties! She also enjoys working out, going to the beach, and chasing after her nephew.
