Sandy grew up in the area, and after attending Boston University and living in various parts of the country for a while, she returned to Connecticut where she has remained since 1989. She obtained veterinary technician certification in 2001. She has special interests in oncology, behavior and training, as well as small animal internal medicine.

Outside the office, Sandy enjoys cooking, photography, reading and hiking with the dogs, as well as spending time playing with and reading to her children. She shares her home with three dogs.
