Dr. Maggiolo was born and raised in the Bronx, New York City. He attended the Bronx High School of Science and obtained a B.S in Biology at SUNY Binghamton. He lived in London for 6 years during veterinary school, after which he returned to practice in New York. He is a 1994 graduate of The Royal Veterinary College, University of London. He has been a County Animal Clinic veterinarian since 1995. He is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, the AVMA, and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. Dr. Maggiolo has a particular interest in managing chronic disease in geriatric felines and enjoys working with local police canines. He was a member of the group of first veterinary responders during the September 11th attacks, helping to care for the search and rescue canines in the early days.
He is a certified Cat Friendly Veterinarian by the AAFP and is RECOVER certified in Basic and Advanced Life Support by the VECCS.
Dr. Maggiolo resides in Putnam County with his wife, 3 sons and their cats. When not practicing veterinary medicine, he enjoys time at home with his family, exercising, cooking, and he is a die-hard Yankee and Springsteen fan!
