Kelby Weaver, DVM, is a compassionate veterinarian at VCA Cordova Veterinary Dentistry Center. She earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Mills College in 2000 and completed her DVM at UC Davis in 2011. Dr. Weaver also holds a master's degree in Polymer Chemistry and Engineering from the University of Southern Mississippi, which she earned in 2004. She completed a rotating specialty internship at VCA San Francisco Veterinary Specialists in 2012. Originally from Sacramento, Dr. Weaver has been a part of the greater Sacramento-area veterinary community for over 20 years. Her professional interests include whole patient care, the Client-Patient-Doctor relationship, dentistry and oral surgery, anesthesia, and pain management.

Outside of work, Dr. Weaver enjoys volunteering, spending time with her son, reading, hand embroidery, puzzles, swimming, paddle boarding, working on her mother's farm, traveling, and living life one day at a time. She shares her home with Gertrude, a kind-hearted Standard Poodle; Minnow, a resilient Toy Poodle; Siggi Meatloaf, a Maine Coon cat; Wednesday Mittens, a black and white Domestic Shorthair; and Carrot, a grey tabby Domestic Longhair who loves sleeping with her son.

Dr. Weaver's passion for medicine involves client communication and care to achieve the best patient outcomes, treating her patients like family from the moment they walk through the door.
