Dr. Robin Tolmer is a Pittsburgh native and grew up both here and in rural Vermont. She attended the University of Colorado and Colorado State University for her undergraduate studies in zoology and French, and began work toward a master's degree in comparative Anatomy and Physiology before beginning veterinary school at Colorado State, graduating in 2004. She lived in Arizona for 15 years, working in a mixed animal practice before moving back home to her beloved Pittsburgh. Dr. Tolmer enjoys working with a wide variety of species and their pet parents, and also takes an active role in organized veterinary medicine. She completed a six year tenure with the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association Board of Directors, culminating with a term as president. Dr. Tolmer currently serves on the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Veterinary Services. Dr. Tolmer has three amazing children and two kitties, and enjoys running, hiking, yoga, gardening, cooking, and traveling all over this amazing world!
