Dr. Bauman was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He attended Gettysburg College before going to veterinary school at the University of Prince Edward Island Atlantic Veterinary College, graduating in 1998. After graduation he worked in a companion animal hospital in Norwich, Connecticut for three years before becoming and emergency clinician for the next four years in Warwick, RI.
In 2004, Dr. Bauman moved his family to Palm Bay, Florida, to join the VCA family and became the Medical Director of VCA Village Animal Hospital. He served as the Medical Director and then assumed the role of Area Medical Director of the SE2 area in 2021. Dr. Bauman served in both positions until his move to Lancaster, PA and VCA Bridgeport Animal Hospital. He has a special interest in endocrine diseases and enjoys dentistry.
Dr. Bauman is the proud father of three college age kids and a Black Mouth Cur named Porter. In his free time, Dr. Bauman likes to SCUBA dive, bike and hike.
