Originally from Gujarat, India, Dr. Gurjar moved to the United States at the age of four and has called Florida home ever since. She earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Florida Atlantic University, where she discovered a passion for veterinary medicine during a summer sea turtle research course. This sparked a deep interest in animal care, leading to the pursuit of a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Louisiana State University.
Dr. Gurjar has a special interest in shelter medicine, emergency care, and soft tissue surgery. She is married and has an 11-year-old basset hound mix named Gambino, who she loves to skateboard with. She enjoys painting, volunteering at her local Hindu temple, and playing the ukulele. Dr. Gurjar is very excited to join the VCA team and looks forward to building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners!
