Dr. Kimberly Carvalho attended the University of California at Davis for her undergraduate studies, then went on to graduate from Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. She completed a small animal medicine and surgical internship at California Animal Hospital in 1993 and brought her expertise to Brentwood Pet Clinic in 1996. She became a partner at Brentwood Pet Clinic in 1999 and has remained at the same location for almost 30 years. Brentwood Pet Clinic was subsequently acquired by VCA and renamed VCA Brentwood Animal Hospital. Today, she stands proud as a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (canine/feline), currently holds a prestigious position as the Medical Director at VCA Brentwood Animal Hospital and shares her wisdom and years of experience as a clinical Professor at Western University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, teaching fourth-year veterinary students in their clinical rotations. Dr. Carvalho served on the Medical Advisory Boards of PetDrx, VCA and SmartyPaws vitamins and serves as an expert witness. During her free time, Dr. Carvalho enjoys golfing, hiking, traveling with her family and watching her daughter compete in volleyball tournaments and her son compete in football games.
