Hello! My name is Aubra Samlaska. I am from Washington State and have lived there my whole life. My family and I were ready for a change and that led us north! I am moving up with my husband and daughter. We enjoy outdoor activities in all types of weather. We are looking forward to all Alaska has to offer.

My background is in psychology, pets, and leadership. My educational career was focused on psychology and sociology. I worked in pet specialty retail as a General Manager for 13 years and then made the transition to veterinary medicine. For the last almost 3 years, I worked at a large specialty referral center with 9 specialties (Nutrition, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Radiology, Anesthesia, Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, and Ophthalmology) and a 24/7 ER as the Senior Department Manager (Hospital Manager). 

Animals have been a constant theme in my life. I currently have a German Shepherd/Husky, Tucker (2 years old), and a Domestic shorthair, Dixon (14 years old). However, I have had so many different animals in my life. I have had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, snakes, scorpions, fish, chickens, etc.
