Dr. Amanda Hampton joined the VCA Beacon Hill Cat Hospital team in 2023. She has a Bachelor's and a Master's of Science in Biology as well as graduated from Louisiana State University with her DVM.

Dr. Hampton grew up in Alexandria as well as in Louisiana but has lived all over the world including South Korea for 2 years. She loves to teach and talk about veterinary medicine at conferences as well as high school career days. Dr. Hampton lives with her husband, Christopher, and her six cats: Hiro, Mohender, Ernie, Soleil, Whiskyjack and Lucky.

Yes, she loves cats and is "very excited to bring her feline experience to VCA Beacon Hill." She also hopes to continue to learn more with the VCA family. Outside of work, she likes to sing, play her guitar and paint abstract art. She also enjoys watching the Olympics and eating her favorite food which are nachos!

Dr. Hampton is a Certified Acupuncturist, Fear Free Certified, and Feline Friendly Certified Veterinarian. She is now working towards her certification in Herbology at the Chi Institute.
