Amanda Romaneck
Staff Veterinarian DVM, Practice Limited to Diseases of the Eye

Dr. Romaneck is a DeKalb native who received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Missouri in 2019. Following this, she completed a small animal rotating internship at Iowa State University. She then moved out to the east coast of Virginia to complete a specialty ophthalmology internship followed by a comparative ophthalmology residency with a combined private practice program.

Dr. Romaneck is passionate about all eyes from the smallest leopard gecko to the tallest Great Dane and beyond. In particular, she loves educating owners about dry eye disease and management as well as corneal and lens surgery to maintain vision and comfort for her patients.

Dr. Romaneck is excited to be back in the Midwest near family and friends. When she is not at work, she enjoys reading a good book, sewing, and playing video or board games with her husband with the pets (Dovah and Kiin) lounging not too far away.
