Dr. David Payne was born and raised in Sandy UT. He attended Utah State University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Animal, Dairy, and Veterinary Sciences with a minor in chemistry. He then attended the School of Veterinary medicine as part of the inaugural class of Utah State University/ Washington State University joint program. Upon completion of his DVM degree, he returned to Utah to practice small animal medicine at VCA Cottonwood Animal Hospital before moving to VCA Amor Animal Hospital.
Dr. Payne enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a special interest in internal medicine, preventative care, and increasing quality of life of geriatric patients. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and their pet dog, as well as fishing, golfing, hiking, skiing, gardening, and photography.
