Sam is a student working on her animal science degree with a sub plan in pre veterinary medicine. She was born and raised in Orange County and has done work in agricultural programs as well as wildlife education.
Sam has a lot of pets at home, including her German Shepherd, three family cats, four mice, a turtle, a western hognose snake, and a spoiled betta fish. When she's not taking care of her pets, she likes to go to the rock climbing gym or archery range with friends. Sam is also a member of the Southwestern Herpetologists Society and the California Turtle and Tortoise Club.
Animal care has been Sam's biggest passion ever since she can remember, from being seven years old performing a "C-section" on my stuffed tiger to giving her first vaccines to the lambs at her school farm. She loves learning about the relationships between people and their pets, as well as helping pet owners take the best care of their furry family members. She hopes to learn all that she can about veterinary medicine and once she attends vet school and becomes a DVM.
