Dr. David Robbins was born in Chicago, Illinois, and is a graduate of UC Davis. He obtained his veterinary degree at Michigan State University. Go Spartans! Dr. Robbins has over thirty years experience in veterinary medicine, with a special interest in pain management. He spent over 10 years practicing medicine in the Southeast before relocating to San Diego. Dr. Robbins has been a consultant for Zoetis/Pfizer Animal Health lecturing to veterinarians in Southern California on the topics of pain management and anesthesia, a practitioner advisor to a peer reviewed veterinary journal and member to various pain societies. In addition, he has been the medical director at several veterinary hospitals, an educator and mentor to many veterinarians and is currently the Co-Medical Director at VCA Adobe Animal Hospital.

In his spare time Dr. Robbins enjoys spending time with his family, pets, cooking, gardening and maintaining several aquariums. He is very passionate about college sports and is an avid Michigan Sate Alumni. Dr. Robbins is very excited to be part of VCA Adobe and to work with such a fantastic team.
