Year you started working in the veterinary field?

I started working in this field in 2021 and have loved and enjoyed it ever since.

What made you join the veterinary medical field?

In the summer before my senior year of high school, I had no idea on what I planned to do for my future. I started taking Veterinary Science classes and really enjoyed lab days when we would go out to our farm and work with farm animals as well as dissecting many organs/ animals. (ex. A cow’s heart!) That is when I knew I enjoyed learning about other creatures' bodies and how similar we are to them.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I enjoy knowing that I am always getting better at my job, whether it be the procedures, how vaccines work to getting to see patients as puppies growing up. Knowing that I can make an impact on animals that don’t have a say really makes me feel proud of myself. As well as seeing how each surgery procedure is done. The most satisfying thing about working is being able to do bloodwork on patients and having it go smoothly.
