Hello! I'm Melissa Kight, an associate veterinarian here at VCA A Plus Animal Hospital. I was born and raised here in the Reno/Sparks area. I attended undergrad at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where I received my BS in Veterinary Science in 2015. I then returned to Reno and worked two years at VCA Feline Medical Center as a veterinary assistant before attending vet school. I completed veterinary school at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN, where I graduated with a dual DVM/MBA in 2021.

Outside of the hospital, I enjoy cooking, hiking, and spending quality time with my husband. Together, we have a pet rabbit, Luna, who is incredibly spoiled.

My interests include surgery, dentistry, and fostering the human-animal bond.
