Dr. Baumgard has always known he wanted to be a veterinarian. He began working in the field as a young teenager. After serving in the United Sates Navy, Dr. Baumgard attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and studied Biochemistry. Dr. Baumgard is a graduate of UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine Class of 1996 companion animal track. He has a strong interest in emergency medicine and urgent care. He also enjoys avian medicine. When not working, you'll probably find Dr. Baumgard with his crazy parrot or his beautiful German Shepard puppy.
